Standard 1g. Communicates with students,
families, colleagues, and communities effectively and accurately.
Justification: Through my weekly
newsletters that I send home, I am able to share with parents what we covered each week,
expectations that I have for my students, and even things that they can be working on at
home. In this manner, I communicate with my students, families, and the community
effectively. Additionally, I maintain a classroom website through
TeacherWeb to provide information about my classroom, resources to support the
home-school connection, and other important items. This website can be
